Hikvision Barrier System — 3D Product Animation

The challenge
Physical barrier systems are hard to demonstrate in a showroom—the product's value only appears when it moves, opens, and integrates with vehicles and access control.
Strategy
Before any 3D work began, we built the shot list around the specific moments a buyer actually needs to see: the barrier arm's full range of motion, its operating speed, and how it reads alongside vehicles and access-control hardware at a real gate. That list — not a generic product-shot brief — is what the animation was built to deliver.
Creative direction
Studio-style three-point lighting and a slow, deliberate camera move were chosen so the hardware reads as premium and the mechanism stays legible in every frame — nothing about the motion is sped up or exaggerated beyond how the barrier actually operates.
Our approach
We modelled the barrier hardware in 3D, animated realistic operation cycles, and rendered the sequence in Blender with studio lighting—so sales teams can show exactly how the system behaves anywhere.

3D modelling
The barrier arm, housing, and base were modelled to match the real hardware's proportions and moving parts.

Rigging & animation
The arm was rigged for its real mechanical pivot and animated through full open/close cycles at a true-to-life speed.

Lighting & rendering
Studio HDRI lighting was set up in Blender and the sequence rendered at production quality for both wide shots and close details.

Cutdowns & delivery
The master render was cut into vertical, social-ready formats alongside the full-length version for the sales team.
